- Address regulatory issues Increase access to post-secondary education and training programs Attract workers and residents from other parts of Canada Further develop energy infrastructure Attract more tourists to the region Increase access to early-stage capital Increase access to fast reliable and affordable internet Help grow local and regional markets for products Improve transportation access Improve pathfinding services linking businesses to funding programs and support Increase access to youth entrepreneurship training Increase access to business mentorship programs and related small business education and training for entrepreneurs and businesses Increase access to business support services Attract workers and residents from outside of Canada Increase access to loan financing Strengthen connections between education and business Transform Aurora College into a polytechnic university Stage events and other mechanisms that provide opportunities for networking Facilitate e-marketing and use of digital platforms and social media to market products and services from the NWT Encourage development of strong industry associations and sector partnerships Invest in coworking spaces makerspaces arts & craft centres and incubators Further incorporate Indigenous traditional and local knowledge into education Implement business and investment attraction initiatives/business incentives Make more strategic use of government procurement to promote development
