Guidelines for Closure and Reclamation Cost Estimates for Mines

The Guidelines were developed by the Land and Water Boards of the Mackenzie Valley in collaboration with the GNWT and INAC. The purpose of these Guidelines is to:

describe expectations of proponents when preparing closure cost estimates (section 2.0); and outline processes for determining how much security may be required to cover the costs of closure and reclamation (section 3.0).
